Multi-passionate entrepreneur – when I first heard those words spoken by life and business coach Marie Forleo, I said yep, that’s me!
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had multiple interests and talents and a love for inspiring and encouraging others. That creative and entrepreneurial spirit is what led me to launch Golden Life Ventures in 2007. At first it was purely a business focused on creating memorable travel experiences for my friends and family.
As I have grown throughout the years, so has Golden Life Ventures. This company was founded upon the desire to design and live an abundant, golden life and ultimately help others do the same. At the time, I didn’t really understand the full significance of that mission.
In 2015, I decided to take a leap of faith and unleash my free spirit by leaving my GGJ (good government job), expanding Golden Life and becoming a full-time entrepreneur. If I am honest with myself, I wanted out of corporate America nearly 6 months into my career, but like many others, I was afraid of leaving the security of a 9 to 5 for the uncertainty of entrepreneurship, so I stuck it out. But I had too many nudges from God to ignore so I jumped and never looked back.
Since that time, I’ve been able to help dozens of people experience bucket list vacations, coach hundreds of families on how to fund their passions by starting their own home-based businesses in the travel industry, and write and publish two books. Yet, I feel like I’m just getting started in fulfilling what God put me here to do.
A publicist by trade (learn more about my communications work HERE), I got a calling from God in late 2017 to take on my biggest PR client ever – God. He planted a seed in me that has now grown into a full-fledged ministry with speaking engagements and launch of the book, God Doesn’t Make Mistakes: Learning How Our Missteps Fit Into His Perfect Plan.
Over the last eight years I’ve led a small group of women, SALT (Sisters Achieving Life Together), through the leadership of my church, Zion Church, in Largo, MD. Not only do we study the Bible and engage in powerful studies, but we also do life together and encourage each other through all of life’s various milestones and curve-balls. Little did I know at the time, my call to lead this group was the beginning of my ministry.
What else gets my blood pumping beyond coaching, training, designing epic bucket-list experiences, writing, and speaking? My other passions include singing, dancing, listening to live music, volunteering, cooking, and experiencing culinary goodness. (Yes, I’m a foodie!)
